Easily Control pH

Failure to stay within the consent limits set by water authorities for temperature, pH and solid content can result in financial penalties.

With temperature and solid content taken care of using Aquatherm and Aquascreen, it remains to deal with excess alkalinity in the waste water. This is where the turbulent flows created by Aquatherm’s unique tubular construction come into play. pH sensors are installed into sockets in the inlet and outlet, linked to an injector pump which doses acid in proportion to the flow and pH of the waste water. The high turbulence of the exchanger blends the waste water and acid, and the result is measured as the mixture exits the exchanger.

The relevant readings are displayed graphically and can be printed or stored for use by the monitoring authorities.
